Sept 14, 2000 - Added a few new pictures, changed some of the broken links
and updated some other outdated info.
June 6, 2000 - All the old pictures have been finally converted, now I'll
be working on the pictures sent to me since I took over the site. I have also
added the Fork tools in the tech tips that two listers sent to me.
Jan 12, 2000 - I made a few changes, the picture and links pages are
now here on XOOM. The picture page still incomplete, but a link to the old one is
at the top of it. The links page has all the links that
were on the old one, I have a few more to add. The AMN news ticker was added,
it's only america but if I can find others I'll put them up.
Jan 3, 2000 - I, Brian Evans, have taken over maintaining the
XJ owners page for Ben Thomas. As of now I have moved the page, updated
the links and changed a few wordings on the page, but more is to come...
June 18, 1998 - Wow, I've had so many offers to help out. This
page now spans a few different web addresses, but it looks great, thanks
to Steven McKenna from Ireland, Karl Bailey from England, Jas Jones from
Australia, and last but not least Aaron Berg, who runs the electrical FAQ..Oh,
and let's see, I'm in Canada..Are there any countries not represented here?!??!?!
Anyway, THANKS ALOT GUYS!!! The XJ owners pages can now continue
to grow. Oh yeah, I'm going to add a review from a bike magazine on
the Maxim X 700 which I scanned in. Look for it soon.
May 23, 1998 - Long time no see....I'm essentially out of web space
for this page to grow much more, and I just don't have the time to keep up
most of this page anymore. So, this means that I won't be updating
the owners list, for sale page and picture page any more. So, please
don't email me to join the owners list, add a for sale ad or add a picture
to the picture page. If anyone wants to take over these parts, then
let me know. I hope to do some work on the rest of the page though, it seriously
needs to be updated.
December 26, 1997 - Happy Holidays!!!! Sorry to all those who sent
me emails mid November; I messed up my hard drive and it took me until now
to get the emails back. Anyway, after a lengthy delay, I've added to
the Owners' List, the For Sale page, links page and the picture page. I'll
be relocating to Ottawa (Ontario, Canada) for the next 4 months, but I should
be able to access my accounts without a problem. Anyway, the show must
go on!
October 29, 1997 - I am now currently maintaining the whole XJ site
myself again, as Bill Strong, who so graciously helped me over the summer,
is unable to continue hosting the owners' list and for sale page. I
have added a dyno run from a Seca 650 Turbo, see info, as well as 3 for sale
ads and about 10 owners to the ever growing owners list. Also added
was a few pictures for the picture page. Anyway, enjoy!
October 11, 1997 - OK, so I haven't done anything with this page in
almost four months, oops. Anyway I've changed the name of this page to the
Yamaha XJ Owners Page, because that is what this site is for, all XJ owners.
I've added pictures to the picture page as well as some detailed info on
the Maxim X 700. I'm currently quite busy, what's new, so getting this site
completed (all info on all XJ models) will take some time, but I'm working
on it. If I get a work term where I can access my account I should have lots
of time to do it.
June 29, 1997 - Unfortunately I willl be unable to do much maintenance
with the XJ page this summer. Bill Strong has graciously taken over the Owners'
List and the For Sale Page which are now located at
http://www.globalserve.net/~madbiker/owners.html and
http://www.globalserve.net/~madbiker/forsale.html. To add a for sale ad or
your name to the owners list please contact him - Bill Strong,
[email protected].
May 25, 1997 - OK, 50 more owners to the owners list. Like 6 more
pictures to the picture page and 10 for sale/wanted ads. I also added model
identification numbers and a roadtest of an XJ650 to the specs and info section.
BTW, the XJ750/650 page has now had over 10000 visitors in just under a year.
Also, as you may have noticed I haven't changed the name of this web site.
I think I'll change it to the XJ page. Or maybe not! Any suggestions?
April 25, 1997 - I added about 30 more owners to the owners list.
I added some info and specs on the Maxim 700 and 750. Two pictures were added
to the picture page as well as some wanted and for sale ads. I also added
links to owners web sites in Motorcycle links.
March 29, 1997 - More owners were added to the owners' list, about
30. Two pictures were added to the picture page and one wanted add. I also
added some specs on the Maxim 700 (see specs and info) thanks to Anthony
Nalli . And for those that care, I'd like to rename The Yamaha XJ750/650
Page to The Maxim and Seca Page, so all those 700, 400, 550, 900 owners don't
feel left out anymore. And I think it sounds better too.
February 13, 1997 - About 20 owners were added to the owners' list,
4 pictures were added to the picture page and 2 for sale ads were posted.
If you have a web page related to your bike then send me along the address
(URL) and I'll put a link to it on the XJ page. Also, if anyone has any info
on the Maxim 700's or any other XJ then let me know. I'll eventually get
as much info on each specific model and post it on this site.
January 18, 1997 - I finally got a picture of my Maxim 750 scanned
and put it in the Picture Page, but unfortunately the scanner only did greyscale,
so soon I'll redo it in color. I added two or three other pictures to the
picture page as well as added about ten owners to the owners' list. Also
added were some for sale and wanted ads.
January 5, 1997 - Over the holidays I got a lot done. I finally added
the article on upgrading your XJ which you will find in Tech Tips. As you
probably noticed the XJ page has changed as well as the addition of "navigation
bars" at the bottom of most pages which makes surfing this site a little
easier. I moved around some stuff, and in the process added a feedback page,
a links page and a specs and info page, but I got rid of the Question Page
because no one was using it and the mailing list is a better idea. I also
added some ads to the For Sale Page as well as B.C. Monz's Seca 750 to the
Picture Page and added some owners to the Owners' List.
December 17, 1996 - The Picture Page has been changed and has moved
to my Engineering
account due to space constraints. I also added back links on the bottom
of most pages to make it a little easier to navigate around. Happy
Holidays!
December 14, 1996 - I added names to the owners list, some new wanted
and for sale ads, as well as a link to My Motorcycle (in
motorcycle links) and David Hansen's picture of his 86 Maxim 700 (in the
picture page).
November 23, 1996 - That's right, I added some more names to the owners
list, too numerous to mention! I'm awfully busy now because of exams,
Christmas, job, etc so it might be another couple of weeks before I get a
chance to update this page again, so be patient. I have plans to add
lots of info on these bikes as well as (hopefully soon) some pictures of
my Maxim.
November 1, 1996 - I added more owners to the owners list. By
the way the Mailing list seems to have caught on. If you are interested
then please join.
October 14, 1996 - I added info on the new XJ Owners Mailing list,
a picture of Dean Utendorf's Seca 750, as well a bunch of names to the owners
list.
